Stage Fright is one of Alfred Hitchcock's lesser-known films. It stars Marlene Dietrichas Charlotte Inwood, an actress accused of murder by the actual perpetrator, Jonathan Cooper (played by Richard Todd). Other stars include Jane Wyman, Patricia Hitchcock, Alastair Sim and a minor role for Ballard Berkeley of Fawlty Towers fame.

Alfred Hitchcock's cameo appearance is as a man looking at Jane Wyman's character on the street. The film featured a song by Cole Porter entitled "The Laziest Gal In Town". Christian Dior did the costumes. The film was released in 1950.
