Onward is a town located in Cass County, Indiana. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 81.Geography
Onward is located at 40°41'40" North, 86°11'39" West (40.694374, -86.194237)1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²). 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there are 81 people, 30 households, and 21 families residing in the town. The population density is 347.5/km² (935.6/mi²). There are 31 housing units at an average density of 133.0/km² (358.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 96.30% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 3.70% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 30 households out of which 36.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.0% are married couples living together, 3.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 26.7% are non-families. 26.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.70 and the average family size is 3.32. In the town the population is spread out with 30.9% under the age of 18, 3.7% from 18 to 24, 34.6% from 25 to 44, 17.3% from 45 to 64, and 13.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 32 years. For every 100 females there are 97.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 115.4 males. The median income for a household in the town is $40,625, and the median income for a family is $50,313. Males have a median income of $36,458 versus $35,625 for females. The per capita income for the town is $15,993. 6.6% of the population and 0.0% of families are below the poverty line.
