A training programme that permits officers to assess six main groups of drugs: cannabis, opiates, CNS stimulants (e. g. cocaine, amphetamine, ecstasy), CNS depressants (e. g. benzodiazepine), hallucinogens (e. g. LSD, Magic Mushrooms), inhalants. Each of these drug groups produces particular signs in the user which can help an officer to identify the drug group which may be responsible for any identified impairment. Source: European Union.
