A disease of cattle caused by a virus and/or Pasteurella multocida, Pasteurella haemolytica. Shipping fever is very common in American feedlots, among cattle 6 months to 2 years old, and often follows the stress of transport, castration, de-horning, winter weather, change of food, etc. It is characterized by fever, dyspnoea, and fibrinous pneumonia.
