In computing, a tab is one of two different control characterss in ASCII. A tab key is the part of a keyboard which creates tabs. The most known and common tab is a horizontal tab, which in ASCII has the decimal character code of 9. There is also a vertical tab which in ASCII has decimal character code 11. Tabs are formed by whitespace.

Tab was the name of the first diet soda produced by Coca Cola. Although still manufactured, its sales have been dwarfed by Diet Coke.

Tab is a common abbreviation (especially online) for tablature.
