Mining

Waste disposal in which manufacturing wastes are deposited in porous underground rock formations. Disposal wells should be at least 200 ft (61 m) deeper than the deepest water-bearing formation, and they must besealed with cement from top to bottom. Also called subsurface injection. (references)
