Building & Civil Engineering | Grouting consisting of drilling a hole to a limited depth or to the intersection with an open seam, grouting to that depth, cleaning out the hole after the grout has taken its initial set, and then drilling and grouting the next stage. This process is repeated, using higher pressures for each succeeding stage until the final depth is reached. This process is also known as "down-stage grouting". It may be performed with or without the use of packers. Source: European Union. (references) |
