SIMULTANEOUS CONFIDENCE INTERVALS

Specialty Definition: SIMULTANEOUS CONFIDENCE INTERVALS

DomainDefinition

Statistics

The setting of confidence intervals for several parameters which are simultaneously under estimate. The problems of locating the parameters separately in confidence intervals when they are not independent is possibly unsolvable without some further assumption, but they may jointly be located in a confidence region. Similar conditions apply to simultaneous tolerance intervals and simultaneous discrimination intervals. Source: European Union. (references)
