DomainDefinition

Finance

Are bonds on which the maturities are spread over a succession of years rather than in a single year. Source: European Union. (references)
A bond for which the principal is paid back by scheduled portions of the issue coming due during the life of the issue. The scheduled portions may be of the same size forming a regular pattern or of different sizes. Source: European Union. (references)
A bond issue in which a portion of the bonds are scheduled to be retired at regular intervals over a period of years. Serial bonds are issued when the underlying security for the bonds depreciates through use or obsolescence. The maturities of the bonds are scheduled so that at any time, the bonds still outstanding will not exceed the declining value of the security. (references)
