Business

The Inchon Iron & Steel Co. and Dongkuk Steel Mill Co. were designated as the potential concessionaires for the 3 scrap iron berths in 1997, but both companies have postponed their negotiations with the MOMAF for the concession rights until later this year due to the restructuring of the Korean domestic steel industry. The MOMAF plans to develop a 18-berth harbor in north of Inchon Port capable of handling 17 million tons of cargo by 2011.
