A variant of porcine endogenous retrovirus (PERV) which findings are: a) identified in productively infected Raji cells, b) env sequence determined differs from PERV B1 in highly variable beta sheet region due to frameshift, c) studies using murine packaging cell lines show viruses not introduced into Raji cells as a pseudotyped genome, d) infects human cell lines - poor infectivity.
