Pancreatic Cancer (or adenocarcinoma of the pancreas, also called Pancreatica) is the growth of a malignant tumor within the pancreas. Each year about 29,000 individuals in the United States alone are diagnosed with the disease (more than 60,000 in Europe). It is one of the most fatal cancers, with an average survival time of 3 1/2 months from the time of diagnosis (extended to six months with exceptional treatment.)
