New issues of share and loan capital are issues in sterling or other currencies of ordinary and preference shares, loan stocks, bonds and notes. The series cover only issues which raise cash for the issuer and are net of redemptions. They exclude bonus issues, exchanges of one type of security for another and issues for considerations other than cash. The data covers issues on the London Stock Exchange, the Unlisted Securities Market, Alternative Investment Market, the Third Market(until December 1990)and overseas stock exchanges, and issues in euromarkets.
