Naproxen sodium is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicine used to relieve the pain of arthritis and as an analgesic and antipyretic. It is sold under the trade name of Aleve. Naproxen sodium is also often used for the relief of headaches.

Naproxen sodium's chemical name is (-)-6-methoxy-alpha-methyl-2-napthaleneacetic acid, sodium salt and its chemical formula is C14H13NaO3.
