Monocytosis is an increase in the number of circulating monocytes.

Monocytosis often occurs during chronic inflammation. Diseases that produce this state include tuberculosis, chronic neutropenia, and Hodgkins disease.

Monocytosis can also occur during certain leukaemias, such as chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia (CMML).
