Mining | A system in which the winder is controlled in the conventional manner by the driver, following the usual bell signals from the onsetter and the banksman. The system of control ensures that the speed of the winder follows closely the position of the driver's level, driving or dynamic braking being applied automatically to the motor as needed to preserve thechosen speed.
