All or part of the exterior surface of the translucent material which helps to confer on the light its particular photometric and colorimetric properties. When only part of the exterior surface emits light, the light-emitting surface shall, in case of doubt, be specified by the competent authority after consultation with the vehicle and/or component manufacturer.
