Tends equipment that forces viscose fluid between two adjustable metal bars and into acid bath that coagulates fluid into continuous sheet of cellophane: Reads gauges and observes image on video display screen to ascertain thickness and uniformity of cellophane sheet. Turns clamp nuts, using wrench, to adjust bar gap to produce sheet of specified thickness and uniformity. Turns valves and starts pumps to regulate flow of viscose. Maintains log of operating conditions and output of casting machine. (references)
