A wildlife artist who had entered paintings in five previous Duck Stamp contests, placing second in 1985 with a pair of redhead ducks, third in 1983 with a single redhead. In 1986, he began devoting full time to wildlife painting. He paints almost exclusively in gouache. Specializing in waterfowl, Anderson's work is known for its detail, sharpness, and clarity.
