Metallurgy

Glass or frit used to coat, protect and decorate metal surfaces. They consist generally of mixtures of borates, silicates and aluminates of the alkali metals, fritted at temperatures around 1200° C and milled with additions to give desired properties of colour, opacity and coefficient of expansion.
