(From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia)
Historically nearly all crawlers were equipped with blades called bulldozers, and used for construction and earthmoving projects. However, crawlers are slowly gaining popularity for farm use.
The use of tracks allows the exertion of very low ground pressure, despite heavy weight. This makes them very well suited for applications on soft ground and mud since they do not sink in soft ground like wheels do; this is driving their increased presence on farms.
