Electrical Engineering

An electrochemical action conferring immunity upon a metal by an appropriate cathodic polarisation. Source: European Union. (references)

Energy

A method of preventing oxidation of the exposed metal in structures by imposing between the structure and the ground a small electrical voltage. (references)
