Medicine | A complex of a tRNA and its corresponding amino acid. This is the form in which the amino acid is brought to the specific site on the ribosome. The carboxyl group of the amino acid is esterified to the 2'-or the 3'-OH group of the ribose sugar of the tRNA. The anticodon of the tRNA binds to its complementary codon on the mRNA.
