Census | A Census 2000 field operation to develop the address list in areas with predominantly noncity-style mailing addresses. A lister entered, in an address register, the address and/or a physical/location description for each living quarters within a specified area. The lister marked the location of each residential structure on a block map by drawing a map spot and assigning a map spot number. The lister also updated and corrected the map if necessary. Called "prelist" for the 1990 census. (references) |
