Slang | Phrase. Source: "Waking up" comes from the idea that when users are "re-spawned" it is similiar to "waking up." Users with particularly slow internet connections could be re-spawned and then killed before their computer is told that their computer has re-spawned. Definition: Literally, it means that the user had just been re-spawned and found themselves dead before they could arm themselves or could get away. Context: This phrase is used to refer to the fact that they were killed right after being killed just a second ago. Social Source: Online Computer Game Players.
