The Transit Computerization Project involves the exchange of operational Customs transit data between fifteen European Community Member States and seven non-EC countries. The Transit Computerisation Project is a project which aims to develop an operational system, based on the use of advanced computer systems, electronic data processing technology and electronic data interchange(EDI), to manage customs transit by the end of 1998 within the customs territories of the European Community, EFTA and V-4 countries.
