Mining

An electrolytic process for refining lead in which the electrolyte is a solution of a double acetate of lead and potassium or sodium. The anodes are cast from crude argentiferous lead, and the cathodes are in the form of large disks of copper or aluminum bronze and are about half immersed inthe electrolyte. (references)
