Sets up battery of machines that trim small arms cartridge cases and artillery shell cases to specified length: Installs cutters and adjusts stops and cams to regulate machine stroke and synchronize movements of feeding, cutting, and ejection mechanisms, using handtools. Sharpens dulled cutters and polishes scratched punches, using $T3bench grinder,$T1 speed lathe, and emery cloth. Removes housings, guards, feed tubes, chutes, tool holders, and other accessories to replace worn or broken parts, such as springs, bushings, and push-rods. May straighten bent punches and machine parts, using hammer and anvil. (references)
