The
Seven Sages of Greece were seven fabled wise men who met at Delphi to dedicate their wise sayings to the god Apollo. The traditional list is:
- Solon of Athens
- Chilon of Sparta
- Thales of Miletus
- Bias of Priene
- Cleobulus of Lindos
- Pittacus of Mitylene
- Periander of Corinth
Some authorities add Myson of Chen instead of Periander.
