(From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia)

In chemistry, sequence analysis is a techniques used to determine the sequence of a polymer formed of several monomers.

In molecular biology and genetics, this process is called simply "sequencing." On the other hand, "sequence analysis" usually implies subjecting a DNA or amino acid sequence to sequence alignment, sequence database searches, or other bioinformatics methods on a computer.
