Observes temperature and pressure gauges to ascertain that process conditions meet plant standards, and turns valves to maintain operating equilibrium within specified range. Notifies supervisor or starts pumps to discharge precipitate onto drain table to settle out crystals, and pumps strained liquor back to bath. Records gauge readings for operating log.
