Health | The ciliary neurotrophic factor receptor is comprised of three components: the ciliary neutrophilic factor receptor alpha subunit, the leukemia inhibitory factor receptor and the gp130 signal transducer. The specificity of the receptor for ciliary neurotrophic factor is determined by the alpha subunit, while signal transduction is mediated through the GP130 subunit.
