Plevna is a city located in Reno County, Kansas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 99.

Geography


Plevna is located at 37°58'20" North, 98°18'34" West (37.972327, -98.309474)1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²). 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics


As of the census of 2000, there are 99 people, 46 households, and 28 families residing in the city. The population density is 166.2/km² (425.2/mi²). There are 52 housing units at an average density of 87.3/km² (223.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 96.97% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 3.03% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 46 households out of which 23.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.0% are married couples living together, 2.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 39.1% are non-families. 37.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 19.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.15 and the average family size is 2.75. In the city the population is spread out with 22.2% under the age of 18, 6.1% from 18 to 24, 24.2% from 25 to 44, 25.3% from 45 to 64, and 22.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 44 years. For every 100 females there are 90.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 108.1 males. The median income for a household in the city is $26,875, and the median income for a family is $33,750. Males have a median income of $20,625 versus $25,417 for females. Plevna is a town located in Fallon County, Montana. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 138.

Geography


Plevna is located at 46°24'59" North, 104°31'4" West (46.416323, -104.517842)1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.2 km² (0.5 mi²). 1.2 km² (0.5 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics


As of the census of 2000, there are 138 people, 63 households, and 40 families residing in the town. The population density is 115.8/km² (301.4/mi²). There are 81 housing units at an average density of 68.0/km² (176.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 97.83% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 2.17% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 1.45% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 63 households out of which 30.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.0% are married couples living together, 3.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 36.5% are non-families. 34.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 14.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.19 and the average family size is 2.78. In the town the population is spread out with 24.6% under the age of 18, 2.9% from 18 to 24, 31.2% from 25 to 44, 21.7% from 45 to 64, and 19.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 40 years. For every 100 females there are 115.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 108.0 males. The median income for a household in the town is $27,917, and the median income for a family is $33,333. Males have a median income of $26,875 versus $21,667 for females. The per capita income for the town is $14,360. 8.3% of the population and 6.5% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 16.7% are under the age of 18 and 0.0% are 65 or older.
