According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 4.7 km² (1.8 mi²). None of the area is covered with water.
There are 1,128 households out of which 36.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.6% are married couples living together, 10.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 33.2% are non-families. 28.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.51 and the average family size is 3.10.
In the village the population is spread out with 28.0% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 32.8% from 25 to 44, 18.8% from 45 to 64, and 12.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 34 years. For every 100 females there are 93.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 89.4 males.
The median income for a household in the village is $43,313, and the median income for a family is $51,007. Males have a median income of $35,382 versus $23,351 for females. The per capita income for the village is $20,815. 6.1% of the population and 4.3% of families are below the poverty line. The racial makeup of the city is 97.39% White, 0.03% African American, 0.32% Native American, 0.49% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.63% from other races, and 1.12% from two or more races. 2.03% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 979 households out of which 52.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 80.3% are married couples living together, 6.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 11.3% are non-families. 10.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.56 and the average family size is 3.84.
In the city the population is spread out with 36.4% under the age of 18, 11.6% from 18 to 24, 26.9% from 25 to 44, 18.8% from 45 to 64, and 6.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 27 years. For every 100 females there are 103.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 99.1 males.
The median income for a household in the city is $57,601, and the median income for a family is $60,000. Males have a median income of $41,477 versus $26,532 for females. The per capita income for the city is $17,688. 2.0% of the population and 1.3% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 2.4% are under the age of 18 and 0.0% are 65 or older.
