Health | Physician Data Query. PDQ is an online database developed and maintained by the National Cancer Institute. Designed to make the most current, credible, and accurate cancer information available to health professionals and the public, PDQ contains peer-reviewed summaries on cancer treatment, screening, prevention, genetics, and supportive care; a registry of cancer clinical trials from around the world; and directories of physicians, professionals who provide genetics services, and organizations that provide cancer care. Most of this information is available on the CancerNet Web site, and more specific information about PDQ can be found at http://cancernet.nci.nih.gov/pdq.html. (references) |

The R.A. Bloch Building, donated to the National Cancer Institute by several American businessmen is now the home of PDQ, an information service for physicians. The International Cancer Information Center (ICIC), the technical information office, and the JNCI staff. The building was dedicated in October 1983. The physician's data query, PDQ, is a new computerized information system developed by the National Cancer Institute to disseminate up-to-date information on cancer treatment.
