Assembles pattern chains that control pattern-forming motion of guide bars (flat metal bars on which yarn guides are attached) on knitting machines: Selects pattern-chain links according to pattern diagram. Marks links according to sequence in chain, using bevel square and scriber. Holds link against electric grinder to bevel end down to marking so link will adjust guide bars smoothly. Inserts connecting pins through holes in links to assemble links that form pattern chain. (references)
