Millwood is a town located in Sumter County, South Carolina. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 885.

Geography


Millwood is located at 33°54'44" North, 80°23'14" West (33.912144, -80.387344)1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.1 km² (0.8 mi²). 2.1 km² (0.8 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 3.61% water.

Demographics


As of the census of 2000, there are 885 people, 329 households, and 274 families residing in the town. The population density is 427.1/km² (1,111.9/mi²). There are 341 housing units at an average density of 164.6/km² (428.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 76.05% White, 21.47% African American, 0.45% Native American, 0.68% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.45% from other races, and 0.90% from two or more races. 0.79% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 329 households out of which 35.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.6% are married couples living together, 12.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 16.7% are non-families. 14.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.67 and the average family size is 2.91. In the town the population is spread out with 26.0% under the age of 18, 6.0% from 18 to 24, 22.9% from 25 to 44, 30.8% from 45 to 64, and 14.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 40 years. For every 100 females there are 96.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 93.2 males. The median income for a household in the town is $51,250, and the median income for a family is $59,375. Males have a median income of $27,716 versus $23,864 for females. The per capita income for the town is $21,426. 1.0% of the population and 0.0% of families are below the poverty line. Millwood is a town located in Spokane County, Washington. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,649.

Geography


Millwood is located at 47°41'8" North, 117°17'3" West (47.685693, -117.284297)1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.9 km² (0.7 mi²). 1.8 km² (0.7 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 4.17% water.

Demographics


As of the census of 2000, there are 1,649 people, 741 households, and 457 families residing in the town. The population density is 922.7/km² (2,395.7/mi²). There are 779 housing units at an average density of 435.9/km² (1,131.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 95.27% White, 0.55% African American, 0.42% Native American, 1.03% Asian, 0.12% Pacific Islander, 0.49% from other races, and 2.12% from two or more races. 1.46% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 741 households out of which 24.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.7% are married couples living together, 10.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 38.2% are non-families. 31.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.23 and the average family size is 2.79. In the town the population is spread out with 20.8% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 30.1% from 25 to 44, 25.3% from 45 to 64, and 15.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 40 years. For every 100 females there are 93.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 91.8 males. The median income for a household in the town is $34,565, and the median income for a family is $40,441. Males have a median income of $31,292 versus $22,500 for females. The per capita income for the town is $17,911. 11.0% of the population and 8.0% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 18.2% are under the age of 18 and 5.6% are 65 or older.
