(From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia)
Malingering is a psychological term that refers to an individual faking the symptoms of mental or physical disorders. Unlike in somatoform disorders where they seek primary and secondary gain, these individuals are pretending to suffer for myriad of reasons such as fraud, dereliction of responsibilities, or to lighten criminal sentences.Source: adapted by the editor from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia under a copyleft GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) from the article "Malingering."
