Electrical Engineering | Pulverized coal is transported to the entrained-flow pyrolysis reactor where it is mixed with the stream of hot char coming from the char heater. Hot char provides heat for the flash pyrolysis process. Effluent from the reactor is passed through a cyclone to separate the char, part of which goes to the char heater, while the remainder goes out as product. Effluent gases are cooled. Tar is separated and hydrotreated to produce syncrude and medium-Btu gases which are purified to get product gas. Process temperature:593° C. Source: European Union. (references) |
