Federal Student Aid

A measure of how much the student and his or her family can be expected to contribute to the cost of the student's education for an award year. This figure, determined according to a statutorily defined method known as need analysis, is used for all students who apply for federal financial aid in determining eligibility for most federal Title IV student financial aid.
