Health

One of the enzymes active in heme biosynthesis. It catalyzes the oxidative decarboxylation of coproporphyrinogen III to protoporphyrinogen III by the conversion of two propionic acid groups to two vinyl groups. It can act under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. EC 1.3.3.3. (references)
