Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there are 2,033 people, 830 households, and 590 families residing in the village. The population density is 372.0/km² (964.4/mi²). There are 876 housing units at an average density of 160.3/km² (415.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 98.03% White, 0.00% African American, 0.15% Native American, 0.44% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.34% from other races, and 1.03% from two or more races. 1.77% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 830 households out of which 29.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.4% are married couples living together, 8.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.9% are non-families. 26.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 13.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.45 and the average family size is 2.96.
