Solar | An instrument used for very accurate measurements of solar irradiance . Absolute cavity radiometers absorb radiation on a blackened conical receiver and are electrically self-calibrating. Absolute cavity radiometers determine the solar constant and provide the reference from which other radiometers are calibrated.
