| 1996 | Invention patented by Charles P. Ordahl, Anthony Azakie, Sarah B. Larkin, and Iain K. Farrance on March 11th, 1996. Abstract: Transcription enhancer factor 1 (TEF-1) gene family polypeptides are described. In particular, DTEF-1 isoforms are provided. The isoforms may be used for the differential regulation of genes which contain upstream TEF-1 binding sites. Thus, TEF-1 family polypeptides may be used to directly or indirectly regulate transcription of genes linked to the TEF-1 binding sites, such as genes which are expressed in cardiac tissue. |
