Donnellson is a village located in Bond County, Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 243.

Geography


Donnellson is located at 39°1'52" North, 89°28'27" West (39.031159, -89.474037)1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²). 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics


As of the census of 2000, there are 243 people, 93 households, and 63 families residing in the village. The population density is 390.9/km² (1,021.2/mi²). There are 100 housing units at an average density of 160.9/km² (420.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 97.94% White, 0.41% African American, 0.41% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.23% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 93 households out of which 36.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.8% are married couples living together, 11.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 31.2% are non-families. 25.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 14.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.61 and the average family size is 3.23. In the village the population is spread out with 30.9% under the age of 18, 10.3% from 18 to 24, 26.7% from 25 to 44, 18.5% from 45 to 64, and 13.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 34 years. For every 100 females there are 104.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 97.6 males. The median income for a household in the village is $28,365, and the median income for a family is $27,917. Males have a median income of $36,875 versus $22,500 for females. The per capita income for the village is $13,665. 13.4% of the population and 7.6% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 29.5% are under the age of 18 and 5.4% are 65 or older.

As of the census of 2000, there are 963 people, 386 households, and 270 families residing in the city. The population density is 464.8/km² (1,208.8/mi²). There are 415 housing units at an average density of 200.3/km² (520.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 98.65% White, 0.21% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.31% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.31% from other races, and 0.52% from two or more races. 0.93% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 386 households out of which 31.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.8% are married couples living together, 9.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 29.8% are non-families. 27.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 14.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.33 and the average family size is 2.83. In the city the population is spread out with 23.5% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 24.1% from 25 to 44, 19.8% from 45 to 64, and 25.5% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 42 years. For every 100 females there are 78.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 78.5 males. The median income for a household in the city is $36,316, and the median income for a family is $41,500. Males have a median income of $34,125 versus $24,688 for females. The per capita income for the city is $18,336. 3.6% of the population and 4.3% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 1.7% are under the age of 18 and 5.9% are 65 or older.
