Invention: Cyan-colored photosensitive toner containing zinc oxide

1990Invention patented by Akiyoshi Urano and Yumiko Sano on June 10th, 1990. Abstract: Disclosed is a photosensitive toner sensitive to light with wavelengths in the range of 600 to 700 nm, which includes zinc oxide, a sensitizing dye, and a resinous binder. The sensitizing dye is a cyanine dye which is represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## R is CH.sub.3, C.sub.2 H.sub.5, n-C.sub.4 H.sub.9, n-C.sub.7 H.sub.15, CH.sub.2 COOH, C.sub.2 H.sub.4 COOH or allyl, and X is I, Cl, Br, NO.sub.3 or tolylsulfonyl.
