A bite is a wound received from the mouth of an animal.Bite wounds raise a number of issues from the viewpoint of medicine in addition to the physical wounds they leave, including the possibility of:
The most frequent animal implicated in bite attacks that require medical treatment is Homo sapiens. A bite relates to the act of eating quickly intended to temporarily tide one's hunger. From the Middle English word snacche meaning bite, comes the word snack.
