1997Invention patented by Rene Hersperger and Reto Naef on October 1st, 1997. Abstract: The invention provides novel ascomycins bearing one or more physiologically hydrolyzable and acceptable oxycarbonyl moieties or carboxy moieties, such compounds being found useful as pharmaceuticals, especially in the treatment of asthma an dermatitis. Methods of producing the compounds and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compounds are also provided.
