(From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia)
The Bergse Maas has been formed in 1904, to divert the flow of the Meuse from the route now called Afgedamde Maas (Dammed Up Meuse). The latter is still connected to the Meuse through the Heusdens Canal.
There is a car ferry, not operating on sundays, and a foot passenger ferry. [1]
