ABBEY PARK

Specialty Definition: Abbey Park

(From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia)

"Abbey Park" is the name of the grounds that housed the old Leicester Abbey that was dissolved by Henry VIII, and also has the grave of the troublesome Cardinal Wolsey. The Cardinal died there having been recalled by the King and thus saved Henry the trouble of having him executed.
